There are so many things to do in Door County!  When guests arrive at the Dancing Dragonfly, I always take the time to sit down with them and help them maximize their time.  Here are 101 things you can do during your stay....

  1. See the restored Eagle Bluff Lighthouse in Peninsula State Park

  2. Buy jam from Bea's Ho-Made in Gills Rock

  3. Taste wine at Simon Creek Winery outside of Carlsville 

  4. Go see a fish boil at the Old Post Office in Ephraim (Earl is a hoot!)

  5. Hike beautiful trails at any of the Door County Trust properties

  6. Take a Ghost Trolley tour - BOO!

  7. Take the ferry to Washington Island & ride the Cherry Train

  8. Go see the boat house on Rock Island

  9. Look at the gorgeous bone & ivory carvings at Scrimshanders 

  10. Try the Corsica bread at Door County Bakery  

  11. Find a Door County Christmas ornament at Tenenbaums

  12. Climb Old Baldy in Whitefish Dunes State Park

  13. Sample cheese at Wisconsin Cheese Masters outside of Fish Creek

  14. Climb to the top of Cana Island Lighthouse 

  15. Learn about egg tempera painting at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay

  16. Attend one of the outdoor theater productions of the Peninsula Players 

  17. Look for the "Reynolds" stock certificate at Door County Historical Museum  

  18. Eat a homemade chocolate from Door County Confectionery

  19. Try the spinach apple bleu salad at the Inn at Cedar Crossing

  20. Charter the schooner - Talisman out of Sturgeon Bay

  21. Walk along the historic pier at the Canal Station Lighthouse 

  22. Play a round of golf at the Alpine - blue course with gorgeous views

  72. Fly a kite from the Fish Creek Kite Company

  75. Try on a hat in Hat Head in Fish Creek - what fun!

  76. Eat a Friday night fish fry at the Sister Bay Bowl Supper Club or the English Inn

  77. Buy a pie to take home from Sweetie Pie (their Cherry Pie is David's favorite)

  78. Try the fish chowder for lunch at the Cookery in Fish Creek

  79. Bike around Washington Island

  80. Climb the fire tower in Potawatomi State Park for excellent views of Sturgeon Bay

  81. Watch the sunset from Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay

  82. Go quilting at the Barn Door Quilts in Sturgeon Bay 

  83. Go ice fishing in the waters of  Little Sturgeon Bay our winter ice “shanty town”

  84. Buy a Door County sweatshirt from On Deck – best quality up here

  85. See a performance at Door County Auditorium in Fish Creek 

  86. Paddle a kayak off of Nicolet Beach or in Moonlight Bay 

  87. Catch a local musician at a café or restaurant -  look for listings in the Peninsula Pulse 

  88. Go to Door County Brewery for a small batch beer or ale in Baileys Harbor

  89. Take a brief nap after breakfast!

  90. Take a carriage ride in Ephraim - just up the road

  91. Shop for antiques at Olde Orchard Antique Mall

  92. Buy the chocolate covered cherries at Silly Goose best ones up here!

  93. Ride a bike around Peninsula State park

  94. Check out the art galleries and glass studio on 2nd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay

  95. Buy some smoked fish from Charlie’s 

  96. Eat ice cream while watching the cows being milked at Schopf's Hilltop Dairy

  97. Get a revitalizing Reiki session at a local spa

  98. Enjoy ice cream at the 100+ year old Wilson’s Ice Cream Parlor 

  99. Visit Cave Point County Park – David’s favorite spot in the county!
